Author's Note

An owl on the moon
Tabula Rasa is a Latin term meaning "blank slate." Aristotle used the metaphor of a wax tablet that starts as blank and is written upon by experiences and knowledge, suggesting that the mind begins without any pre-existing ideas. The New Year is a fresh, blank slate.

Nicely captured Craig.
At this time of year, we all get a chance to refresh snd reset our pages and hope our resolutions are more resolute than last years.
Well here's hoping they are! 😃

I first learned of this term from Clive Barker in one of his novels, Imajica. He had it as the name of a secret organization whose members had their identities wiped. Wouldn't it be nice to reset the future without the past interfering? But history always has a way of finding its path into the future, one way or another. I was just looking at a documentary on catacombs under Paris where millions of skulls and skeletons are haphazardly buried together. Each of them had a story, a life and now they are forgotten. Time moves on until it moves on without us.

2024 is here... May we make it so much more heaven than hell... Wishing all peace on earth... Together, maybe we go the distance... The night has a thousand eyes, And the day but one; Yet t.. more..
