From calming gentle lapping to throwing its fury at us, like it's Samuel L Jackson having a hissy fit, the oceans give us so much as an aid to memory and contemplation, and that's before even mentioning all the tasty swimmy things for sustenance too!
I almost heard waves gently lapping as I read your words, but then the wind picked up and next thing, symbols crashing and it all went a bit classical furyesque and I had to go lie down! 😃

This is a beautiful but solemn thought. The ocean weeping for the souls that have come for their final resting places beneath the waves.

I don’t live near the ocean but it is stunning and mysterious. It holds secrets we may never know .. read more
I think the oceans sigh and breathe with harmonic pulses of their own; living things, which, in turn, harbor and shelter other living things within their being. As a whole, the seawater is the mother of all life, an amniotic sac of creation giving birth and being to all life on the planet. I can neither envision sadness nor joy in the teeming abundance of life and death within her constant changes. I see it rather as both a making and an unmaking; both a building and sustaining as well as a dissolving and destructive force. To me, the oceans are quite beyond the grasp of petty human emotions. The sea certainly doesn't concern herself with our opinions though. She only concerns herself with things as grand and eternal as the moon. Many a dedicated and experienced sailor has thought to tame her only to harness the wind in sails that led to oblivion. But she does often provide ample inspiration for poets and philosophers as made evident here. Well crafted. F.

This poems has a heart for the consecrated and wrath for the desecrated.
Many graves are filled with the lost and many books are risen by their host.

Thank YOU. It came from a painful place in me, yet was illuminated once the light was rising again.
I can feel a deep, yet faintly echo from the ocean,

I am so thankful you stopped here to read my words... and to feel the emotions behind them too.
There's such an ache I felt reading this...an ocean is one place where everything feels right again, everything seems aligned & in order. Yet, there's so much chaos beneath the surface which a rare amount of us can begin to comprehend. It shows us what it wants us to see, just like an iceberg...so much hidden underneath, down into its dark abyss.

Hummm...I have often said "I am the ocean". No idea where that came from but it reminds me, this. On the edge of the earth, that line between sand and water? The never coming back...They are loved, dearly.

The ocean weeps for those gone before . .

I can see this in my mind.
Your thoughts are deep, tender and emotional.

(I enjoy placing my words on the pic sometimes as well)
