When I Was a Boy

When I Was a Boy

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

I felt so much bigger when I was a boy...

"

Author's Note

An owl on the moon
I felt so much bigger when I was a boy
Or the world seemed smaller perhaps
Dreams on pages of fabricated light
Creating such vast wild worlds
Making magic from mundane
Limitless lost landscapes

WONDERLANDS

Now lives a heaviness
With harsh tangled paths
Lost in the labyrinth of life
Complex complexities crying
Options grow smaller in grey strands
There is no returning to the
Wonderlands

Why, thank you, for the beautiful wishes. Sara K
Time and age creates a type of amnesia yet - never cures entirely. Such is your eternal experience and what has been laid in the past, Owl. That labyrinth of life can lock you, keep you in a place where life can seem far less than was. YET, the need for flying with past thoughts and finding other things, other choices is there.. if you want them to be. The Wonderlands need you, would offer you remedies. Perhaps. Why not

WOW! This is such an emotional read.
It's weird how we change as we get older. I'm not sure if we grow wiser or just more fond of what we have left of ourselves. We treasure memories more than living our life. This is a wonderful heartfelt piece.
