Thank you my friend. Getting some warm days. Michigan weather is very fiddle.
The world here sleeps under blankets with the heat on. Highs in the fifties next week. A real warming trend. In North Carolina we get summer in winter, winter in Spring, Summer and Winter in Fall and Fall doesn't know how to act. Nice poem.

Ha, I'd like that a programable weather app. Alexa, how about some Spring today? :)
Beautiful title, introducing us to the wonderland I grew up accustomed to ever since I was a child. I thought it was magical, the way I could see my breath whenever I spoke! Wish we could see more of you, Craig, more often. May the wonder and beauty of the season remain in your heart always!

It seems appropriate to read this today, just when we hoped that spring might actually begin, we wake to snow warnings and promises of minus 15 degrees until Sunday, with polar winds and storms making us all wish we'd booked that Bahamas trip earlier in the year and memories of last summer being deleted from our collective memories that I woke up this morning thinking I'd been eating cookies in bed. It will go down in history as the great cookie memory wipe, as we shiver at the hope of sun's soft caress. 😊

Dear Craig,

Just when I begin thinking I've read the best of the best on winter, you come with such a thinking, feeling and so utterly beautiful poem on the season that I'm just reading spellbound.

Every line delights the soul and fills it with joy. The white blankets of embroidered frost, summer, a distant apparition and echoes of autumn's songs still stirring the clouded sky. Yet, the most profound are those roots, filled with the germ of life, reaching, rolling, straining under the shroud of the earth. How much more multifaceted and thought provoking can a poem get? Just amazing symbolism about winter, life, adversity and nature there!

Kudos my friend!
