I just loved that last stanza, you paint very vivid imagery in your words, love the background.
"What peace we had as children" I will never forget my youth. I wish somewhere there was a fountain of youth. I enjoyed this write.

The photo is beautiful and the words are amazing. I could use a year near the sea. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I hope soon my friend. We do need sea days.
I read so much into your words.
The red life and the suns of slumber...deep symbolism there.
The poem stirs deep thought. The waxing moon feels sad.

Thank you precious friend. The light will come... and the joy will follow. Much appreciated.
I like how you change the color of the text to highlight the contract in the last stanza.

I too, desire that "red life"! Thanks for sharing.

Pat, so grateful for your kindness and wisdom. Thank you for pausing here in the moonlight.
How I've missed reading what you write! Your prose and poetry are equally beautiful.
A world of possibilities and hope await the new light born with the waxing moon.

I particularly liked the first line, - interesting to ponder how differently people can view the same thing. Just about anything and everything is open to interpretation...

those last two lines:... In ignorance of strife, we birthed the waxing moon. I am not sure that it can be any more seen than that! You have always been a fabulous writer. I've felt safe in your world of wonderland and at gentled peace. I like however these streaks of red and yellow...I'll see you soon again in the light ole friend. Dont stop signing that name ... it's not the end
