Presenting to you our FIFTEENTH GLOBAL COLLABORATION at the Writers Cafe!

The world might be a place of community dance

If, one-by-one we offer an olive branch

to extend to your neighbor the hand of love

and forgiveness, your enemy, the peace of a dove

Amber Patrick (United States)

With innocence intact, the children sing

Their favourite Christmas carol or hymn

Unwittingly spreading love and joy

To the hearts who listen and to every girl and boy

Barbara B (Scotland)

Let us not forget those we have lost

In this time of merriment cast a thought

To all the twinkling stars we see

Remember them in legacy

Carlos Lorenzo Estrada (United States)

Sapphire glowing silken fires

Yielding forever peace and then

Eloquent peals of living love again

Ring the golden gleaming bells, Amen!

Craig Froman (United States)

In gathering, let us not forget the reason.
But in loving, let us forget the cost.
In healing, may we find the season
one of returning, all things broken and lost.

Fabian G. Franklin (United States)

If wishes do come true, tonight I wish you don't feel alone.

Rain or shine or snow it might be, wherever you are.

Take time to look at the sky.

And that I hope you find peace this Christmas eve.

Fate (Philippines)

Join me in my prayer

For Earth, all us humans

Each hum to be a marvel

Each poem to be balsam.

Ghounwah /lightsong (Syria)

In a world that thrives on human apathy, peace seems like an illusion, a distant dream
And yet, what if each of us pledges to do our part, even if it's just holding hands or bringing a smile on someone's face
Kindness and empathy, even in drops, will merge together to form a vast spectrum of energy wherein peace too shall shine

The brightest star in the nocturnal canvas
Inara / Samrudhi Dash (India)

"...and through the laughter of a child
I hear Christmas.
Rejoicing its promise and mirth,
proclaiming the miracle of birth!".
Kelly Scheppers (United States)

In the spirit of Christmas, a milestone we depend.
Should we not try a bit harder, than a day to extend.
The spirit of giving, to much more than "I".
And make this world better, in much more than a sigh.
Lorry (Scotland)

Let’s stop fighting for anything rather than peace

Let’s respect freedom

In the memory of

People who died for this

Let’s wish the best for

The people under pressure

The people who have not

Anything rather than their hearts

The warmest weapon in the world

To reclaim their rights

Nima A. (Iran)

Once upon a Starry night three Wise Men brought Gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh

Shepherds quake at the sight where Cattle were lowing and Baby Jesus wakes to bring Peace

Hark the Herald Angels sing Joy to the new born King whom we remember in December...

Mary and Joseph are Ambassadors to Welcome all Creeds to Rejoice and sing Hallelujah..

Patricia Wedel (United States)

Gentle winds speak of fluttering angel wings
Augur yuletide blessings of the serene divine
Sparks of hope and joy illuminate faithful hearts
Dancing in unison, merge into an eternal flame
pinakini (United States)

I, being a philocalist,

Find love and peace in every grit

For love to me is a destiny

Simmering through an endless balter

Raja (India)

I hear the moaning of vast armies dying on the battlefield-

It is but a sad funeral dirge composed in notes of crimson.

The dreams of sages and great men of peace and love

fall on deaf ears of ones addicted to power, greed, and war. --We yearn for peace!

Sheila Kline (United States)

a drop of love so true and bright

it sang a note so kind

a happy tune does spread joys light

‘til peace in world has gained and shined

Sue (United States)

Rejoice for the life we have
And our loved ones
Let's pray for the departed souls
May peace fill our heart and soul
Swetha (Dubai)

Hello sir, it's my first year as a poet on the Writers Cafe. What should I do to enter this collaboration?
I would be honored to have a poem on this list. I'm Iranian & I guess having an Iranian will make this collaboration more universal.
Waiting for your answer
