As Autumn Sweetly SlumbersA Poem by An owl on the moonDid walk to the river thus to stare upon a spider weaving there…Did walk to the
river thus to stare upon a spider
weaving there. And water dancing on
the stones romancing them like
flesh on bones. A timeless moment in
world’s of fear to be lost in such
enchantments here; of imps and elves and
nymphs and sprites, glimmers shining
with golden lights. In reflections on
the water’s grin I see the softness
of her fair skin. Now feel her fingers
entrancing me and in
lifting-light, I tingling plea, that she would my
enchantment be and never dream to
set me free. The river’s rhythm
dances on with us in blissful
mystery drawn. Swift spider’s
caught the silvery moon as autumn sweetly
slumbers soon… © 2020 An owl on the moonReviews
