I lay stillA Poem by An owl on the moonMy feelings that came in the night...
I lay still... her warm sleeping skin brushes my back. My thoughts race to the once summer sun piercing the clouds; her all in white lace and laughter. Such echoes linger like the taste of chocolate. Golden leaves came to visit; cooler nights and darker days. Colored leaves left patterns on the sand and soil; a chill wind whispered thoughts of despair and separation. Here freedom haunted us, and white ice crept on our bed, turning warm skin cold. Darkness drove us distant. But now? Now the scent of tulips lingers in our covers. Skin is warm again as earth and heaven awaken and the fragrance drifts over us. She brushes my back and I lay still...
