“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”
― Rumi

Every line in this poem is so gentle, so endlessly lulling...you have crafted a beautiful world,
where the air would be rich with the sound of music, and the waves like molten gold under the brilliant sunshine. I take that by wordless you mean free from all arguments, and talks of war...a world as tranquil as a song...
"Upon the ocean’s cresting wildness
Rising on transcendent sunfire," are my favourite lines from here.

And yes, may the world find this place of life where war and hate are only distant echoes. Wishing you much inspiration in this new week, dear poet.
I love your poem and the quote by Rumi
Love is about acceptance
and they say when you meet the one
silence befalls you
because there is something louder speaking
that is your emotions making this exchange of approval
A hand shake that never ends

This is so ethereal and so very beautiful :) Each line holds such imagery of both poignancy and charm, a delight to absorb :)

lovely utopian vibe - happiness should come from natural happiness, not materialistic whims

Tis said that silence is golde; it is. Emptying the mind, focussing on... a flower, a pebble - something you need to see. Letting it slowly, slowly fade . so that in fading there's nothing but nothing.. calm as calm can be. Silence.
Beautiful and inspiring words, Owl.

Life gets so noisy, and too often keeps us from hearing the most important sacred silences. I'm only now just learning, so I hope I get another lifetime to do it right.

Great poetry. Isn't it ironic how people always want to be heard, or hear what is the latest piece of information, but in the end, we find peace when those words remain absent :) Love your quote about Rumi too......I tried to find that field recently on the roads Rumi walked....did not quite find it. Who knows, maybe it is only a place our words can describe, but our bodies may never be able to go there.....:)

Yes, I heard recently that so much of our talking, our responding, involves our ego, defending ourselves and what we thing rather than listening and embracing the thoughts of others. Perhaps in silence there is some measure of peace together. And you'll find Rumi's path. It is hidden deep within you, and the key is magnificent. :)
This poem have made me remember what words can do when they dance harmonically to create the imagery you portrayed for us, thank you Craig for sharing this with me

nice job! "Wordless" puts me there in that field .. a place one doesn't really need that "other" to be there .. but it adds such a quiet tone of romance and health ... i think "azure" is well used in writing but it doesn't seem to matter as the rest of your images inspired and i thoroughly enjoy the closing ... i am an introvert and so "Forever wordless" is a fine place of peace ;)

I'm left imagining how a wordless world would feel like. Maybe that's why we're so far from finding the true meaning of peace... the ripples of words in the sea of silence are sometimes too much to bear perhaps...
Lovely piece, Craig.
