Words of restless hope... of Resurrection

Words of restless hope... of Resurrection

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

O wretched death and mortality!

"

Mortality; O wretched death and mortality!

Decay is a demon dream, schemed in symmetry.

O, that death crucified might halt its talons,

Will we not all ascend from the grave?

Remember the fallen, the slain;

Their dust is our foundation.

Consider their suffering and pain;

For therein lies a new creation.

Silent stones of granite hue;

Enveloped now in sacred dew.

Speak somber words of restless hope

Of Resurrection...

Thank you so much dear Pryde! Hope your week is flowing with rivers of inspiration. :)
It has a very eerie feel to it which is nice because the feelings that you want to portay in painful desire ID liketo call it, was very well expressed. It was very soulful and something even i could relate to. Very well done !

Your spirituality shines in this one, Craig....but I also see respect for those who have gone before us. Our ancestors fought difficult lives in order for us to live as we do today. Powerful poetry. Lydi**

You are welcome my friend. Always a pleasure to read your work.
Such a darkness in your words, CF., and yet appropriate.. certainly the 'restless hope.. ' - one can be hope and pray..

' Remember the fallen, the slain; -- Their dust is our foundation. -- ',. Methinks the greatest of all, He who lives in our hearts yet...

As always wonderful poetry, appropriate for the time...
