I Live in a Book of Dreams

Perhaps, we are all just dreamers - O

I live in a book of dreams

It’s where I first saw her face

Sacred light in her deep river eyes

Sunrise scented sighs of summer

Where the wind was whispered wildness

She taught me to love the dark

Here the stars are held in deepest embrace

By the ebony night’s hush

And we journeyed on celestial illuminations

As everything was transformed

Even my name when it was on her lips

Became a prayer calling me home

She taught me that love is everlasting

And until you find it, you’re only dreaming

So perhaps, we are all just dreamers

Waiting to be awakened.

This is so amazing! The language you use is what's the most astonishing . . . each word carefully selected for maximum sound (into lyrical groupings, with well-done alliteration & other crafting) & also for sensory meaning for your overall seductive message of dreamy possibly unattainable romantic love. I also like the way the whole thing is kinda circular, ending up where it started.

I've always been a dreamer since I was young & even as I've grown up, I've learned that there's no harm in dreaming. It helps me seek out a secret place & cherish little things. When we fall in love, we're taken to a new dream which we happen to live in real time. So, I guess we'd be day dreamers then. Love takes us on such a ride where we live our own story, build it & make it reality. I marvel your touching, euphoric words written & they've made me believe that anything is possible, that love has no limits...in the end, we are all dreamers, but who ever said that was a bad thing?

All I can say is that this is simply beautiful. Dream.. Yes! We all live in a dream.. that's a world that only we are familiar with. And this poem so perfectly describes that world where anything can happen. The most beautiful part of this poem is that you have seen your love in your dream and she has given you a whlole new perspective about love. That's simply awesome.
