The extravagance of a memory

The extravagance of a memory

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Tell her children that her dragon lives... O

"

Odysseus

Rider of waves

You planted the seed of the city

And graced its gardens

With seven stones from the sun

Even then my angel walked the earth

Translucent light was she

With burning wings

And she knew I was no man

But an untamed beast

A savage creature of fire

That only she could soothe

In the music of her halcyon lullabies

Then they came

The rancorous binding ones

And they shackled her

In those dark chains of reputation

Cursing her wild wings

Her soul caged

Odysseus

 Tell her children

That her dragon lives

And will come to her side

That she will one day fly free

For I know that I do not exist

Except in the extravagance of her memory

very beautiful.. when the time "I" has dismissed, all feelings will broke down like pieces of destroyed country and only peace.. solemn silence remains.

That's really bittersweet.
At first you think this is about the POV,
But to me at least it is really not.

This is the story of the woman.
It's written very well, gorgeous use of words.
'Sooth' and 'Reputation' in particular caught me off guard. In a good way.

Oh how painful the feeling of lost existence only to be felt within a memory so much trapped and separation in the emotions expressed it was very imaganitibe and soulful as usual I loved every bit of it.

the beauty of our memory is that, when you recollect old memories they tend to include those feelings, i mean some old feelings resurrects at the moment you remember... a very beautiful piece yet again my friend, a tale of wonders, a poetic journey into dreamy fantasy....

I loved reading it, too. Your choice of words and the flow to it is extraordinary. I think "tell her children that her dragon lives" is my favorite line, as well.
