Life is so much like this poem. You have penned a treasure to be found on the pages of the WC. Yet these words are more than fragments of a creation glittering with possibilities. You give a write so open and in touch with the human experience as to provide a temporary home for a searching soul.
Thank you for this gift. Your light shines brightly here.

I very rarely comment on such short reviews.
Not because I think one cannot speak their mind and emotions without filling pages up,
It's just, I rarely find something to say about it.
Sometimes I just smile, shrug and move on to the next piece or whatever it is that I'm doing.
But here I felt the need to stop.
'Gathering thoughts like little seashells'.
That's a gorgeous line. It attracted me here both in the tilte and the first sentence.
Not only you've turned thoughts into an object one could pick up and hold, you've chosen one of the most oddly coveted ones.
Seashells aren't expensive or gorgeous like gold, diamonds and sapphires.
Yet as kids, we also wanted to collect them. There was a humble beauty to them. An almost innocent desire to keep something that is pretty, simple and worthless. Almost like thoughts.
The rest of the poem is pretty good, and I could likely go all day breaking into meanings and such, but I'd just read too much into it.
Thank you very much for a wonderful poem.

My mom was born in a port city of Oregon, and so I have always loved the sea... loved seashells... everything to do with the sand and waves and life there. So yes, there is a tender, extravagant joy in the simplest shells. Maybe we find the child still in us when we collect them now, as we do other wondrous things in our world. May your life be filled with blessed, beautiful things always.
Lovely poem. An excellent mental escape to the sea and all it has to offer.
