Within the Weeping of Wings

Within the Weeping of Wings

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

There’s a crack in the universe

"

There’s a crack in the universe

A fracture in the fabric of time

And a hole in the strawberry sky

Sunrise rupture only we can heal

Wanting to see light and flames

Dripping from the horizon’s eye

To feel the burning of your wings

The blazing fire upon your back

Sense golden flowers, golden meadows

Thriving in the shine of golden life

And I glimpsed you there again

Upon that bed of scarlet suffering

As I stood by your side, cocoon shelter

As our wings wept in the anguish

Of finding and losing and wanting

So many countless ages searching

And here so close to our fulfillment

But there is a crack in the universe

A fracture in the fabric of time.

I love your creative pen upon this piece of longing for healing when there's a crack in the universe, a sunrise rapture which needs to be healed. Excellent poetic pen upon this piece!

You're welcome. :)
there is definitely a crack...there was one in the liberty bell for a long time...and that is a metaphor for how cracked the world and our country is right now....

and we need to heal that crack with love---individually and universally.

great write, Craig.

So many things 'bout wicked world've been shown in your poetry. I believe, since humanity's been gone into winds, the world's been cracked and it's even still cracked to date in guise of waving violence, brutality & unfaithful-ness across the lives. Very true and thought provoking poetry you've come up with. It makes your reader thinking ov'r the subject of life, deeply. Excellent work as always!

Dear Renée, yes, and someone once said the cracks are where the light comes in. Thank you so much!

A pleasure Mr. Froman
A surreal picture, matched with out-of-this world words. Brilliant!

"Our wings wept in the anguish of finding and losing and wanting".......such an apt description! Reminds me of the saying "Rather to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all"......Our hearts are fragile, and they fall out of our chests often, but we should never tire of risking all we have for love that would last a life-time. It is love like that which have wings, and sometimes flies to us when life has made us numb and withdrawn.
