Dreams in Darkness Lay

Dreams in Darkness Lay

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

All art requires courage ~ Anne Tucker

"

Dreams in darkness lay

in a watercolor tapestry

Dabbled words of sound,

drift dripping slowly down

Shades of what you do to me

on Dada landscapes of Ceylon tea

Gold leaf set in shelled smiles

abstract colors across the miles

Red sunrise cubist ribbon skies

in boundaries of soft abstract eyes

Revolutionary fires flow,

since caverns of dark Lascaux

Perceptions of canvass redirections

pigments in portrait blush deceptions

Still life brushed on impressionist fair

your roses painted red with care

Golden dreamish tones beget

the ever surrealist stroked sunset

I will ever always be

the faithful shadow in your sea .

The progression of the soul is our lesson daily...I believe we were put her to preform and perfect that ability in love, to cultivate that accurate measurement of forever. You have become a master...a teacher...a leader. your movement and flow both haunt and humble me,like few others. Your amazing! The world needs more shadows like you :)

Beautiful poem, may you shadow linger in Lascaux just like a cave art painting.

I deeply appreciate your wonderful blessing, K-Leigh. May it be. :)
This is marvellous.....last line did it for me....."I will always be the faithful shadow in your sea"......paints closeness, but also distance.......love, but also absence of love.........like the sea of forgetfulness, we sometimes sink deep into the abyss called love.

Hello Kelly! Thank you for helping keep the light on here. You never fail to shine. :)
Flowing and soft words....loved how you mentioned so many art movements within the lines. The romance is strong and yet there is a bittersweetness to thinking one will only be a shadow in someone's life. Beautifully written, Craig. Lydi**

Deeply pleased that my words could please you, dear Pryde. Happy weekend. :)
While I believe the aim here to be a sort of lament, it is a very pleasant and positive read. I love it!

Honestly it took me sometime to understand this intense piece.
I felt a spiritual touch in your surreal words, Craig.
A rumination of someone.
Fragments of something coming alive.
Relished your ravishing words!
