A siren in sea foam

A siren in sea foam

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Dulcet whispers across the sky...

"

Dulcet whispers across the sky

Tints of blue-kissed seas

These are fleeting memories

Reflections of her in my mind

Like an elixir of endless summer

Daydreams drifting overhead

A stormless presence she was

Fierce and free, like a phantasm

My labyrinth with a siren in sea foam

As she rose from the muted stone

Melted away the barren wasteland

Making spring rise in my deserts…

Thank you so much, Renée.
Her existence is a cold glass of water in the desert of existence.

I'm glad you were able to taste this too... thank you for your sweet visit, dear poet. :)
I just wonder how you do this mate. You consistently create a picture of beauty of all the seasons in the years I have been honoured to read your work. In this poem I pictured myself on the beach feeling the summer breeze and the poem went by. Love it mate :)

This.. this longing in your work, is magnetic. The way you will your words to appear as if from a hidden world, only your pen has access to, is always thrilling to read.
I love the metaphors of attraction, and search.. always searching.
The brevity of her appearance melts away with the foam.
A beautiful write :D

"Dulcet whispers across the sky... " What a beautiful singled quoted line it is! Liked the starting of the piece, you've created very joyous vibes of ecstasy around your words. It's, of course, one of my fav. writes ever! I also find the wisp of remarkable love in your philosophical tints which's seemed very soothing to read along time. Every line's nicely pen'd & contains much depth of your thoughts/visions within its imagery. Wonderful!
