I awoke with my heart covered… drenched in your beautiful presence... like a man standing in the rain… I awoke into the ghostworld of me… in the coriander absence of you… the burning of your wings still on my fingertips…
In this moment I am but a ghost… an echoed whisper waiting for my homeland… dancing in the stillness of your song… and your dark, haunted places… only now learning that sometimes there are no words… only silences…
Now I wait in a barren mist…on woven fabric clouds… not so much a man as a ravenous shadow… And I wonder if I can feast on the lavender moon… if only just a bite… while I’m drifting on the topiary edges of your distance…
Now come sweet Morpheus… fill my blood with sleep… Come dear Somnus… fill my mind with delusions of her… Take me to the landscapes of the living… translucent minds of wax and bone… Que Deus me perdoe… esse fantasma…
U also know rabindra nath Tagore..... Nice.... Hats off...
I couldn't understand the last line... 😔

I love your entire composition here, including the artwork & awesome Tagore quote. I've often felt this way, that a missing person/entity in my life is following me around hidden in ether. Your poem gracefully describes how this can feel. I love your many sensory metaphors and gentle melodious wordplay. Even the font fits perfectly with the graceful flow (usually I'm not a fan of fancy fonts that can be hard to read). Beautiful haunting lyrical message! (((HUGS)))

I am wrapped in the gossamer of your words...Touching the edges of that mist...I run out of words to appreciate your poetry.

"Fill my blood with sleep." I loved that line. The whole thing was hauntingly beautiful. Your choice of words were great. I'll tell you a little secret. The Thesaurus is my best friend. Even with it I don't think I could have come up with this.
Thanks for the read.

Ah, dear poet, so very kind of you! And you have a magic that flows through your words so well. :)
Symphony of words.. penned in trance..
Full of spirit and sentiments..
Your reference reminded me of a poem by Rabindranath Tagore called 'Beggarly Heart',
"When the heart is hard and parched up,
come upon me with a shower of mercy.
When grace is lost from life,
come with a burst of song."
Loved reading it..!
