In Days of the Dragon…A Poem by An owl on the moonIn the dragon’s year...I was born in the dragon’s year woven with gossamer thread released in halcyon skies how I remember soaring to cries of the harbinger… Brooding o’er the dust on sweet ripples in time summering fires burnished in golden efflorescence kissing the waking fields in my running wildness… In days of dalliance transposed I suppose while the sea sang lullabies her waveling wonders melodious soft sighings my breath did chant… Dulcet, dulcet were the dreams an ephemeral elixir waking on minds of gold the lissome, lilting dance of labyrinthine opulence enchanting our eyes … I will be suppressed no more rising on winged flames for though I may be gentle I am not tame I am not tame
