The Scent of Summer

The Scent of Summer

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

In a rose and raspberry spring...

"

In a rose and raspberry spring

I saw her dance in deep saffron…

She had the scent of summer

In a lilac and lavender breeze…

Autumn’s apricot blush kissed

Her silken-soft budding cheeks…

The world was harlequin heavy

In her wisteria-winter dress

As we swayed on sapphire stars…

Her grace fragrant as a flower

Our worlds merged and melted

Mingled into one before I awoke…

She has the scent of summer

And I will come to her to stay

Before the wild winter’s birth…

Our world adrift in indigo light

And we’ll be ever weightless...

Can I just sigh heavily and take in this moment...gorgeous Craig, a breathtaking view, hits all the senses in adoration.
