The Scent of Summer

The Scent of Summer

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

In a rose and raspberry spring...

"

In a rose and raspberry spring

I saw her dance in deep saffron…

She had the scent of summer

In a lilac and lavender breeze…

Autumn’s apricot blush kissed

Her silken-soft budding cheeks…

The world was harlequin heavy

In her wisteria-winter dress

As we swayed on sapphire stars…

Her grace fragrant as a flower

Our worlds merged and melted

Mingled into one before I awoke…

She has the scent of summer

And I will come to her to stay

Before the wild winter’s birth…

Our world adrift in indigo light

And we’ll be ever weightless...

Ah, to be weightless and carried along in indigo light. So gentle and beautiful, but far too deep to be whimsical. The flow carries me along your journey into this other world. Sublime writing!

I always appreciate your insights, Marie!
beautiful in every aspect, very much like looking beyond the summer sky, un-focusing your eyes and watching the energy globules dance on blue kind of gorgeous.
