Yet do they dream?A Poem by An owl on the moonDrifting into dreamish delightsIn
illusions Stark,
cold delusions Drifting
into dreamish delights Caterpillars
crawl Inching
up the heights From
bellies scraped on dirt Chewing
leaves and cuttings Yet
do they dream Of
fluttering, floating Flying
and flapping into heaven Drinking
golden nectar Sweetest,
succulent ambrosia In
the garden of the gods And
when chrysalis ecstasy sings Releasing
mercurial magic in wings Stained-glass
colors illumined Yet
do they remember Tasting
the bitter dust of day Or
does it only appear a dream Another
life or so it seems? © 2014 An owl on the moonReviews
