Yet do they dream?

Yet do they dream?

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Drifting into dreamish delights

"

In illusions

Stark, cold delusions

Drifting into dreamish delights

Caterpillars crawl

Inching up the heights

From bellies scraped on dirt

Chewing leaves and cuttings

Yet do they dream

Of fluttering, floating

Flying and flapping into heaven

Drinking golden nectar

Sweetest, succulent ambrosia

In the garden of the gods

And when chrysalis ecstasy sings

Releasing mercurial magic in wings

Stained-glass colors illumined

Yet do they remember

Tasting the bitter dust of day

Or does it only appear a dream

Another life or so it seems?

great. very impresive
The word play is subtle, yet strikes with powerful thoughts of the nature around us daily.

This poem doesn't have any rhyme but I read it with much rhyme, dont' know how! May be, you've expressed the power of your ecstasy vision into the words which are so distinctive and valuable to read. In an end, the question mark reveals the concept of the beautiful reverie write. I definitely loved reading an excellent piece.

Wow!!! Your write left me speechless.... A dream of the future, a dream that awaits to become true in the eyes of a Caterpillar. How so different. Caterpillar do dream? Its truly amazing and the title you have given "Yet do they dream?" badly tempted me to read and the write brought a smile and satisfaction of having got something unique and wonderful....

Thanks for this read :)
