Some days I’m dust…

Some days I’m dust…

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Wonderings of my soul...

"

Some days I’m dust

Some days I’m starlight

On those days of darkness

There speaks my frail fabric

And love that lets go

Pages releasing in the wind

Walls of stone shards

But soft sweet is the blackbird

That sings when I’m starlight

Standing by those I love

Sticking together always

Violence holds no answers

It keeps no golden keys

So come weave a world with me…

simply, exquisitely, masterfully all your peace and love.....your words always leave me skipping down yellow brick roads and/or paths with silly rabbits looking for my inner peace. You make me wanna be a better person and poet and I am so grateful for the push:)

We all have our days of starlight & also those of darkness. Just gotta push through each day and not make things too hard for ourselves. As my dad's motto for life: "Keep it simple, stupid."

You sing out my soul in this one Craig...exactly somedays. I love how you craft an enchanting image of the days of dust and nights of magical starlight that can represent our spirits. Lovely words as always, and beautiful image that you have chosen to accompany your write. You have a romantic eye for beauty in art.

Shaquana, it's always a blessing to read your comments! :)
we start as dust and go back to it when we die...sometimes our emotional makeup is similar...starlight when we feel loved, when we shine...and dust when we are left in the dust.

such a nicely penned poem...the imagery captured me.
