While wandering the woods, I noticed how much further I could see in the winter with the earth's barren branches... Wanting to see life with those eyes...

You have a beautiful heart, Craig. This is an admirable piece...an inspiring one. The voice only seeks for the good, not for himself only but for the others. That heart which yearns to help and to lead to a better path.
Exceptional piece. Bravo!

Your words and thoughts lift me! Thank you so much for seeing in this the deeper places.. :)
More should see what you see: Winter's slow dance, its beckoning sways, its clear mystic lines about naked trees and crisp clicking stone paths. Tis the ermine coat of the seasons, tis warmth unknown. Your poem is breathtakingly beautiful - as you so superbly put, '.. Endless miles of variegated visions…'

Your presence does bring a sense of warmth and light to the cold, dark of winter. Thank you for looking into these word leaves and breathing your intuition through their branches. Sweet music of winter stillness…
Grant us ever sweet winter’s eyes
So we may know our path of peace…"

You're very kind... and you make me smile... I'll do my best to deserve those words.
This is wonderfully put together Craig and I can honestly say I do the same. We know it's Winter and nature is all but dead in the woods, but we can feel it as if lying underneath a carpet, waiting to pounce, waiting for Spring to be sprung. I could experience the quietness as I read this. Yes there's something magical about it all and you have waved your magic wand as usual. Maybe even cast a spell on us. ;-)
Thank you so much xo

This is stunning Craig. You have painted a landscape of enchantment and sweet beauty. Pristine as a new morning's snow, the sun glistening in white sprakles for every eye to see. Very nicely penned.

Indeed, in the winter, we can see right through the barren branches and that is a wonderful metaphor for life. When life seems desolate and at a low point, we can see further....understand more. There is something healing about the silence of a forest in winter, no doubt about it. Beautifully written, Craig. Lydi**
Totally mesmerizing dear friend...I can feel the burn of the cold air on my lungs and only hear the crunch of winter branches beneath my feet. the silence is what I love about winter. It may be such a dark time for some but the cold stark clarity of it all is what bring peace and resolution to my busy clacking mind. Winter walks in Wonderland hold amazingly beautiful knowing sights...rejuvenation ten fold. Thank you for the tea you left sitting on that branch...just what Monday ordered:)

What a real idea here. So true. I love the hushed silence and the better sight. The difference in perception. You've brought me back to the feelings of yesterday when I grew up on the east coast. I live in Utah now and man do I miss those trees! Nice poem sir.
