"Orange whispers,
yellow cries;
ever-haunting,
numb goodbyes"
What's ever-haunting is this piece...how we can wake up and realize what is real, what things have gone away, and then how you tied it in with Autumn... This really just spoke to me. You're amazing Craig! xD

I was riding along this aging road seeking some shard of lost youth! This speaks loud and clear! As always, outstanding writing, Craig! I always come back here to read my Fave Author!
With our happiness comes terrible in justice in our lives. We only have to know how to handle these emotions... But this poem fits great with Fall, including the picture. They go hand in hand. :) God bless you.

Thank you for your insights, and for sharing your beautiful heart here. Yes, as the world begins to fall asleep into autumn, and the coldness of winter, we must find a way to overcome and fight for the sweetness of spring in our lives again. :)
WOW!!! This is deep! And dark to the point of realism because the world is in decay and almost beyond repair. As always you have put your fabulous twist on it Craig with wonderful phrasing that beats heavily into the hearts who read it.
Cheers:)

So the time has come for orange whispers,yellow cries( I adore those lines)once again. Covering earth with that sleepy spread ..the last feast before coma. such a ravenous time. Autumn used to be the season of my love ...but now I'm traveling farther into winter. Thank you dear friend for sharing always your best with us. I come here and find warmth and inspiration even when your worldy duties call. You are a wonderland! :)

Growing up.....children can't wait for it, but once we have grown up, we realize some parts of childhood were preferable. Great metaphors in this write. I especially liked "Farewell, my nickel joys"....the simple things we appreciate in youth are often overlooked when we are adults. Good write, Craig. Lydi**

Coming of age can be a lot like the change from summer to autumn... you are stripped of all you believe just like all the flowers are stripped of their blooms and left to learn a new way of life.
excellent metaphors.
