Mieux vaut plier que rompre
(Better to bend than to break)
Les petits ruisseaux font les grandes rivières
(The little streams make the big rivers)
Tout vient a point qui sait attendre
(All comes in time to the one who knows how to wait)
L'espoir se réveille…
(Hope is waking up)

The hope wakes up.... such a beautiful poem, Craig. I adored it. Your words are tender and delicate like the fine petals of an orchid, rare and aromatic. Lovely and organic. From your hands, stardust is strewn across my night sky in shades of vibrant sonnet, and it's always such a treasure to become enamored within the blanket of your sentiments.
Lovely and fascinating write, I sincerely adore it.

I cannot thank you enough for breathing forth your poetic text here on the page, and for sharing the brilliant treasures of your heart and mind. May hope ever lift you with its wings.
This is magnifique!!!!
Where do I start?...I loved everything about this, dear Craig! You always write with an ethereal beauty...even the muse is amused, I'm sure! I feel a flutter of whimsical wings flying about in the cerulean skies of pink....this is so dreamy, I never want to wake up! Gorgeous write!
You know, I would have thought it was strange to adress your inspiration as the long-awaited companion dressed in beautiful spring blossoms, but I don't think it's strange since I happen to regularly talk to my own muse. Encouraging myself whenever a smart idea for prose or poetry hovers close. I liked your poem because it resembled the inspiration I relate to, shadowy but not lacking thin strings of sunlight. Cool and thirst-quenching, rushing gently with the sound of a bubbling transparent stream. I especially like the way your poem ideas arrive in your left part of your head whenever I sense a change in season. I was watering the garden today and everything seemed clearer, warmer, trees and fruit carriers greener. But maybe I'm talking too soon, since I live oceans away, and it's not nessessarily spring everywhere. Heh, : ) Beautifully penned. And thank you for translating the French parts! Keep writing.
Les rivières mènent à la mer
Tout ce qui est censé être sera
Dans le temps parfait et de bonnes raisons
L'espoir se réveille
Pardonnez mon français il est rouillé

What a lovely, lovely poem .. but then, that's not unusual for you. However, not only have you given it that 'je ne sais quoi' you've given gentle advice wrapped in sweetly chosen words. That first thought, 'better to bend than to break' is so very true.. best accept temporarily then, stand tall and strong.
I'm glad with the translation... :)
Your wisdom shines in beautiful poetry my friend… I wish I could do that someday…
