Lingering on the edge

Lingering on the edge

Lingering on the edge of light

on silver-shining sequined streets

footsteps fainting, falling night

grafted gardens of colored pleats…

Rhythmic rifts of clouding skies

cadence tripping light the tune

lullen mists waltz olive eyes

I dance her earth and she my moon…

And in the tranquil ruby glimmer

rain descends in mothered pearls

she glides across the earthen shimmer

in seabird songs and lilting curls…

Wow...the rhythm is outstanding. How did you do that?

Craig you're a real artist and words are your tool. You're wonderful, what more can I say.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful .. and although your final stanza winds up a superbly written poem, the preceding lines are .. so .. romantic:

'Rhythmic rifts of clouding skies ~ cadence tripping light the tune ~ lullen mists waltz olive eyes ~ I dance her earth and she my moon'

Wonderful pic too, you have a way of finding the right one every time!

A Sunday call. came to read again: like all your other poems, this echoes precious.

I have to agree with A as I too want to live in the Wonderland you create through poetry. This transcends me to a place where I feel the words float around me. You are remarkable and I am just blessed to play in your world. Tranquil ruby glimmer rain...mothered pearls...stunning Craig. I have said it before you... are a painter with your words.

What I would give to live in your poems. They're so beautifully crafted, woven from the heart and for a few lingering minutes, I can actually "feel" the world you create. Truly, Wonderland indeed.

You create a true Wonderland with your words...shining, dancing, arching, building...

I wonder what the name of this magical city is....
Just another romantic one of yours, highly painted
On the O' so colorful canvas.

Nice view...
