Just a feeling

Just a feeling

A Poem by AaronFreitas

The taste of your skin

explodes

passion into my heart.

The touch of your body

launches

my mind into a fanatical eruption.

Indescribable

is the sensation

of being with you,

knowing

only a miracle from God himself

can guide you to me

as if it was destiny.

I feel as if I’m walking through heaven

and you’re behind a half open door…

teasing me

with the angel I am missing out on.

Unlike any emotion I have ever felt before,

Your inner beauty

brings me to my knees,

begging God please,

to let me explore

a world of ecstasy with you-

who brings upon me

an epiphany of the reality of my destiny;

just guide you to me.

I do not want to go on living

this way,

knowing that I could

fill your heart

with love for eternity.

And even though you have love,

I find you here

with me.

On my mind

in my heart

I’m attached emotionally.

What am I to do

with this feeling

I have no control of?

Should I

fade

before your eyes;

leave you to be?

Or should I take this chance

and trust that you will see……

Edited to a format which I like much better than the free write I had. Thanks to Jan aka JayceeC :)

This was really good, and full of true emotion, not just words. You wrote in a way that allows the reader to experience the feeling the speaker is experiencing as well, and that is a quality not many writers have, but all need so desperately.
Wonderful job!

Thank you very much Weeping willow :) I appreciate your kind words my friend :)
I love the thought and feeling behind this but think that you could intensify it with some structure. I've been my usual pushy self and done a quick revision leaving only two conjunctions but putting in some line breaks. Look and see if you like it. It's in your inbox, but don't worry if you hate it. You will not break my heart.
Now I'm sad that it's such an old piece because you know I'm waiting with bated breath for the day that you have some new love to write such warm and lovely sentiments too. Hope you and the girls are well despite all the upheaval y'all have had.

Excellent work young man. And there is really no question here. Grab on and hope for the best. Without making the effort and pushing on in a new love, you are cheating yourself.

It's part of the adventure of life. An exploration of emotions with the soft touch of your new love, but only if you step up and take a chance. Go for it.

Nicely done.

After reading this I would think this person unforgettable so I have to ask if you have had a blow to the head and suffered amnesia of any kind :~) This is a fine winter poem. Why winter you ask? It almost makes you sweat from the passionate heat, just right for heating you up on cold winter days. Standing Ovation! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

Based on your question in the last lines, I would only say you follow your heart where it's leading you. And walking through the entire piece, you really opened up that I need not ask where is your heart calling you to. Every word you chosed emphasizes a lot on how you love, cherish and would like to be for eternity with the miss! Even the prayer you said, the thing that prompted you saying it is because having the said lady around is a joy you don't want to be missing, therefore, you're asking God that He should crown the union and the ectasy of it with immortality! Though from the last sentence, I could surmise why the poet's doubt and uncertainity that prompted asking those question... Nothwithstanding, put your blood- time may let her see. I love this work majorly because I think it has the theme of "loving and not being loved in return, and not being appreciated"... Thanks for sharing... Bona!

Yes! Take that chance Aaron! This seems to be about love for a woman already involved in a loving relationship. The mind goes through multiple permutations thinking of a way to bring this woman to YOUR side of the loving fence. Can this happen. Since you leave the conclusion open ended, the mind is still processing possibilities and chances.
Very well written, Aaron...even if you CAN'T remember who put you through this maze of emotions. take care...dan

Then we can have all that feeling and no choice at the end. You struggle to stay visible but in their mind you're fading as though you never were more than a shadow on the road of their life story. People come and go but mainly go...
