Love is a mystery

You can see it in his eyes he is ready for love,

Feeling like tonight could be the lucky night.

First date in a while and she is looking fine!

But what will he feel at the end of the night?

 

They share many smiles and bursts of laughs…

For a second no painful memories exist.

But as the night slowly withers away,

He starts to pull away and resist.

 

She wants to lay and cuddle on the couch,

So he spends the night willingly pretending…

That this current woman makes him happy,

But it’s only getting closer to ending.

 

Hot and steamy she screams his name,

She’s thinking she’s found Mr. Right.

While thoughts flood his erratic mind…

How he can get rid of her after tonight?

 

He lacks a connection with every date…

Something that is almost unexplainable.

Add this date to the growing list of women

That can’t build any emotion that’s sustainable.

 

They come and they go but they never know

That his heart is closed because his eyes don’t show

He is broken inside though his words do not lie

Love is as mysterious as angels in the sky.

Loved this! You made a very interesting character here, one who cannot feel for anyone he tries to be with. That within itself must be a hard thing to deal with that many of us don't understand. At the end, it made me hope that one day he finds the girl that will make him feel something he's never felt before. An awesome piece :)

The rose does not lie. It's beauty is fleeting, but intense. Hope the person in this poem loves God with all his heart, mind, and soul first, keeps the Commandments, learns what love truly is by learning to love God, then shares that deepest of human emotions and understandings with one special someone. Just one. Go back to the first one, the innocence of selfless love is there. Be honorable to the gift of her gift. Be righteous and righteousness will follow you all the days of your life.

Ask God for forgiveness so that he will bless you with true depth of meaning and joy of soul. Ask the others for forgiveness as well. Forgive yourself. A lot of work must be done here. Maybe talk to Priest, begin to take life and love seriously.
