Are we alone?

Real short true story... this was me last night.

I could feel it… she was standing there watching me as I slept. Subconsciously I awoke to ask her if everything was ok but she didn't respond. I rolled over and looked up to see her shadow... she looked me in my eyes then walked away. Sometimes I forget I live alone but in reality we are never really alone are we?

Hi Aaron. I am not a great fan of prose in poetry, and so very seldom read it. You have written well and it was a pleasant read, but personally, I think that format lacks punch. I did love the wording, you got it right !!! just . . . I'm into structure, not reading books, I guess, alf

Great story telling. This did justice in the realm of getting the message across. Great message. There's lot of times where a story can have a great message to aim for, and have a lot of under lining things but then no one gets it, and if no one gets it, then the point has failed. But in my opinion this did well to get the message across. You made it clear, which is why I think it's good. Keep up the good work. What was also great was that I could imagine the story as I read it, and that is also a strong point of stories. The ability to have the reader imagine it because after all we're reading not watching it, but it was as if I was there as I read this, and that is great. Good job once again.

Ooh! It gave me goosebumps. I like how at the beginning you make it seem like that the person who is watching you was actually real and alive, and the last line was like a plot twist mixed with a cliffhanger. Great write!

to held the person's hand it vanished through the dark night..hmnnn...good writing :) it was beautiful!

Aaron, how are you? It's been a long time since the last time i was on this site....this is an interesting piece though very short one hahah. What i got from this is...i don't know, it kinda brings a painful memory, maybe a memory of a loved one who has passed away or simply gone without a trace? The feeling of terror and anguish from losing someone we love very much, maybe. Oh yeah, is this based on your experience? That's kinda creepy...and heartbreaking.

There are a few theories I could throw your way. One … the dead are visiting you before they return to source; two you are manifesting almost to material from your dreams. Or it is a slow fade of a dream vision. I've have similar visions? and have had other people also see the visions at the same time so I am leering of it being the last explanation, at least not the all of them. I believe it's a ghost/spirit in my house. I've had a few encounters... keep a bottle of holy water on my dresser haha... not that I'm scared ;) I don't know if you read my story... I can't even remember the title it's recent though... it's about the craziest spirit encounter I've had... much longer than this if you are interested :) Thanks for your feedback Jane :)
