I met a girl who hated the world

She gave me sex to save her soul

How proud is the woman they call her mother

She’s serving up mind blowing free sex

Just so she can erase thoughts of her ex

To my liking I didn’t complain

It gave a night off to my lonely hand

Met her at two, fucked her at three

She released her rage while grinding on me

Welcome to the world of online dating

Aaron - its a sad comment on modern life but the online aspect was preceeded by the speed dating and before that the singles bars scene. I'd have to ask someone older what was before that.
Sadness and lonliness can make us do so many things we wouldn't do or comtemplate - its as if it moves the moral compass into the left field.
This is a superb social commentary on the human condition as it embraces modern technologies.
If you didnt care - you wouldnt write about it my friend - it speaks volumes...

Yeah I feel like some things I witness... things I hear about, it made it something to talk about. It speaks volumes to the desperation in people to feel loved even if momentarily. Thanks for the review

Yeah definitely a different take on online dating... I can't speak for all but some people online date to basically get their next fix of temporary happiness while others do search for love. Thanks for the review :)

Interesting, I didn't expect that. Sadly, there are lonely people like this...none that I know, but some who look so desperately for that lovers touch, yet haven't moved on from their ex or past loves. I feel bad for those who lower their standards and self respect for just a one-night stand. To use sex just to feel and compare to their last lover. I feel sex is such a special thing, but it should happen in the right time, right moment, not just because one is lonely or sad. Great write!

Yeah I have met some people and know some people who are on dating sites and they take advantage of people who are vulnerable and look to fill the void temporarily. I've found that some girls I've met want so much when first start talking and the more you divulge into conversation they really are looking for kind words that ease their pain. Want the sexual passion of being with someone else because they temporarily forget the pain from their ex although a one night stand merely serves as a bandaid to the wound and they repeat the process over and over. They are afraid to really love but want to feel it temporarily... hence the poem... the other side of online dating :)
