A different side of online dating

I met a girl who hated the world

She gave me sex to save her soul

She was a dirty, crazy, wild b***h

But she swore that sex was her niche

A part of me couldn’t help but wonder

How proud is the woman they call her mother

She’s serving up mind blowing free sex

Just so she can erase thoughts of her ex

To my liking I didn’t complain

Until she came and screamed his name

It was an exceptional one night stand

It gave a night off to my lonely hand

Met her at two, fucked her at three

She released her rage while grinding on me

Welcome to the world of online dating

Where the next lonely soul is ready and waiting

Aaron - its a sad comment on modern life but the online aspect was preceeded by the speed dating and before that the singles bars scene. I'd have to ask someone older what was before that.
Sadness and lonliness can make us do so many things we wouldn't do or comtemplate - its as if it moves the moral compass into the left field.
This is a superb social commentary on the human condition as it embraces modern technologies.
If you didnt care - you wouldnt write about it my friend - it speaks volumes...

Not that there aren't people really looking for love but theres a lot that want to test drive each car before picking one lol

They may be searching but this is lust not love and our lust is the most difficult to overcome its hard to say no to raging hormones but with God's help you can and though this is mostly the norm in our world today its disrespectful to both men and women nice rhyming flow

Yes definitely lust my friend! For a little while I tried the online dating... met too many women that didn't know what they want. I've been just sitting back for a while... patiently waiting knowing that God will bring the right person for me when the time is right :)

And truth be told, there are people who do such things, mistaking sex for love, mixing it together...The crazy things we do to fill the emptiness inside us that eats us away when we are idle. We must realize that until we learn to love ourselves wholly and unconditionally, we cannot love others and we will do things that are not love, that hurt ourselves and others.

Yes it is true.... I showed this to my youngest sister and she laughed so hard... said I nailed it right on the head. I think for most people there is no darker place than being alone and wanting love or passion in their life... it becomes so easy to mistake sex and any emotional attention for love. we all have our "escape" our way to forget, just for a moment, the pain of the past, present, and dimness of future.. unfortunately for some, sex is one of them.. online dating is just another way to make this easier and more accessible to others.. I like your honest, raw approach to this subject.. it also has a little sarcastic, dry humor sprinkled in there for good measure and was done very skillfully..

Haha thanks... it's definitely a different piece but I feel for some people it is the truth. With online dating... being a part of it searching for someone worth my love... you find some people with very different wants and needs. Honestly, I think some people want love and the second they feel like it could be something they run scared because they haven't moved on from someone else... similar to your poem I just read. I guess it's just a dark truth to certain scenarios... thanks for the review I always appreciate when you pop up on here. :)

I'm sorry to you are going through that. I think I am kind of an all in or nothing person. It is just a really scary place to be in when you don't have control. Most the time you cant control your own feelings let alone the other persons feelings. The more serious your feelings get, the more love you have for the person the scarier because the greater the risk of being hurt and heart broken. You deserve to be loved, you will find that person that loves you for you and every single part of you :)
