Inviting Someone Over

Getting up the courage to invite over a new friend can be hard!

A movie?

A game?

Conversation?

What will we eat?

Ordered pizza?

Microwave popcorn?

Homemade Lasagna?

WAIT!--The house is a mess.

Time to tidy up.

Put away papers.

Find lonely shoes.

Collect the glasses.

Better clean too.

Dust the shelves

Sweep the floor.

Mop the bathroom.

Call the person

Pick up the phone.

Stare at it.
Put it down.
Write out a script.

Oh, look at the time!

Too late to call anyway.

I mean this in a positive way, this entire poem would make a lovely children's style book. If you can draw, I would tell you that you could publish, if you can't find someone who can. How cool would it be to deal with adult emotions in a children's format with pics? Hope you are well!
