Answered and it was wrong. All wrong. The voice was heavy-- This call was a chore.
“We've decided to move in a different direction.”

So much carried in such a short phrase.
Such a polite way to say, “You're not good enough.”
So nice of them to call and let you know-- Not leave you hanging-- Make your day come crashing around your ears...
