Alice BlueA Poem by cetrimideMissing someone
I belonged to you,
Your orbit. Your shadow, your fingers That could pull me apart, That could Hold me together. The anger in your voice That couldn’t quite mask the tremor. I belonged to you. Your face. Your name, The human side of you That thrived when the lights Wore off. When the night was Still, it was then that You filled me with your tears. And your eyes could bleed me dry, If I slowed enough To let you catch me.
