Near Heaven

Near Heaven

A Poem by cetrimide

And we will watch them die
You and I, a gloating heat
As the fire that has burnt me up
Inside too long
Is finally made physical-
The cameras will click
As our bodies are dragged out and
We will laugh
Counting down to a sleep stained explosion
As we swing on the rafters,
Lighter than air
Our charred remains.
Watching our kerosene world
Crackle below. And I know it’s over when
The fire in me has gone.

Ben
Near heaven you say? Doesn't sound like it to me. no spelling mistakes, though. Good job!
