unrequited love

a little thing i wrote a few years back

Pain growing from lack of acceptance

A hurt formed from lack of love

How is one supposed to accept this

When these feelings exist for only one

A lonely existence

A tortured soul

Only painful memories

Yet just being around that one

WIll always bring joy

When all this exists

How can one move on

How can one form these feelings for another,

without fearing the same pain starting again

Why must it be this way

I must obey my feelings

For I am a slave to my emotions

Every word you say feels like a dagger in my heart

My soul burns with pain from being in your presence

My heart aces from seeing your smile

My body hurts from a simple touch from your hand

How do i stop this pain from forming

Every time i see you

This is great even though I'm not usually sympathetic to unrequited love. You actually made me go "aww...poor guy" which is super unusual since I was almost convinced that I'm a robot incapable of showing emotion :P

Great job on portraying the angst and hurt that the narrator felt. I could tell how much pain they were in. Nice write :D :D :D
