My loss of faith in humanity

Why do I pretend

That people are different

'Not this time'

'No, it couldn't be the same'

But it always is

Maybe a few differences

But in the end

It all equals the same

Heartbroken

Bitterness

I can't say I can come back

I have no more to give

Anger and scorn

I long to hate

And make people feel

The way I've grown to be

Someone stop me

Just stop me

No knights or saviors

Lock me up

And throw away the key

Eventually 

I will drown

In my misery
