What A To-Do

A silly song my sister and I wrote about an uncredited tongue twister.

 What A To-Do

by Jeremy and Claire Cooney

CHORUS

Oh, what a to-do to die today

At a minute or two 'till two

A distinctly difficult thing to say

Yet harder still to do

But we'll beat a tattoo

At a twenty 'till two

With a rat-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta

Ta-ta-ta-two

And the dragon will come

When you sound the drum

At a minute or two 'till two today

At a minute or two 'till two

Till two till two

You sound the tattoo

Illusive and true

I’ll chace chimera

That moves that moves

To the cry of the loon

A rune a rune

The man with the rampion

Stirs the brew

The witch and her champion

Fall to their furs

And the light of the moon

Oh what a to-do!

Chorus

To say to say

Oh say that you’ll stay with me

Today always

I’ll pledge you my ribbon

That runs that runs

From the prick of my thumbs

We’ve just begun

The beast in his armament

Breathes at bay

The God’s in the fermament

Seethe with the stars
In the sight of the sun

Oh what a to-do!

Chorus

He’ll come he’ll come

You rattle the drum

The dragon will fum-fo fie flaming

The leaves the leave

Crown emporer and king

Now sing Now Sing

NOW SING! NOW SING!

Chorus
