 Goblin Girls

By Jeremy Cooney and CSE Cooney

It’s night again

And here they come

A trip, a trap, three goblin girls

A trekking cross the river stones

A cackle, heckle hey

She’s big, she’s tall

She’s small, she’s grey

She’s green and slime and

Rainbows, Oh

And one bears fruit

Though poisoned plump

And one, a changling

Baby Oh

Don’t breathe too deep

Don’t scream too loud

Don’t shout, or sing

Or holler hell

They’ll give to you a golden ring

And clasp around your neck a bell

My sister, she went off one night

To linger with her goblin love

And back she came

So white and strange

Her life never alive enough

Deedle-dee-deedle-deedle-doo

The goblin girls

Three traipsing waifs

Three grinning wraiths

Deedle-dee-deedle-deedle-doo

My goblin girls

A crown of wasps, a cape of moths

Deedle-dee-deedle-deedle-doo

Oh goblin girls

I’ll follow where you lead me, oh

It’s night again

And here they come

A trip, a trap, three goblin girls

A trekking cross the river stones

A cackle, heckle hey

A cackle, heckle hey

A cackle, heckle hey
