you're her summer wardrobe

you're her summer wardrobe

A Poem by Allie
"

she'll wear you in the summertime around her hips, but come winter, you're no longer appropriate. (this SUCKS).

"

sand falls from between the cracks of your fingers,
the sun is rising over the ocean,
and as you look over at your girl
you begin to realize
that summer is coming to an abrupt end

everything will change;
the days will become short
the evenings will be a sign of dark, frozen death,
creeping upon the neighborhood trees,
leaves falling onto the frosted ground,
not yet covered in a white sheet

school will start,
it will be a new beginning,
but a depressing one at that.

the people have changed,
intentions are the same,
it's our goal to be punk b******s,
rebels,
and a******s in general

you're too naive to know it now,
but the summer is ending
and with the fading weather,
the chance to be happy with your girl becomes slim.

as serious as the weather is becoming,
she wants to move on with her life,
and you are no longer a part of it.

she'll have you now,
summer boy,
but underneath the dock
you're just a toy

Author's Note

Allie
this wasn't my best work, for sure. it's about how cold and selfish girls can be towards people that don't REALLY matter, and how dumb boys can be sometimes. don't be too harsh, this came right from my fingertips, without any previous planning. that's why it's so bad. lol
