Leave It All Behind

I must leave my old pictures in the past

No matter how long my knees are on the floor

I must say goodbye

Reminisce old memories

I never planned that one day id be losing you

Ill pick up these broken pieces til I’m bleeding

But its time I faced the music,

I still must say goodbye

All this money cant buy me a time machine

it cant bring you back to me

it cant replace you with a million rings

Goodbye don’t just say goodbye

So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m making

But still

Its time I face the music

Its time I said goodbye

The hardest part of saying goodbye is waking up and having to do it again each day. But it's the first step in saying goodbye when you are moving on from everything that is keeping you stuck in the past. This is a beautiful poem. I love reading through your work, they always put a smile on my face and a tear in my eye.
If only saying goodbye was easy. But then it wouldn't be a goodbye, right?
