Staff of LifeA Poem by Bent Dragon (Eric)A short allegorical poem
Five and three unto a bowl do go,
a damp soil for a seed to grow. With heat the seed does germinate A promise of life to come The soil is worked, the growth controlled Lest fertile earth be barren ground Into summer's heat new life is cast to blossom before it wilts. In autumn the heat has fled and left its leavened corpse. Bread.
