Ghost Walker

Ghost Walker

A Poem by Joyce Marie

In the darkness

On my own

Through this maze

I walk alone

I travel down

This beaten path

Through this hallway

Memories vast

Thoughts and feelings

Ocean’s deep

Only haunt me

Where I sleep

Caught between

Eternal grace

The world I know

And this empty space

Life is an illusion

Never what it seems

Death is the awakening

From a dream

Where do ghost wander

When they are not dead?

They walk between worlds

That resound in their head

In this darkness

I wander alone

Seeking my way

To the world I know

I liked this.
It's brief, but successfully conveys all it needed to.
I can relate, quite a bit.
Kind of one of those situations in life where no advice from anyone could tell you how to get where you want to be, but you'd eventually find it out- when the time is right.
Great job!
