Life

Life

A Poem by Joyce Marie

Life is not so much about saying hello

but saying goodbye

I've come to learn with time

that all good things often die

Life is more about the journey

for nothing matters in the end

We can only take our memories

I hope you found a friend

Life is like a high wire

while balancing burdens on your back

If you slip before you know it

you're falling thorugh the cracks

Life is a precious seed

growing in God's hands

emerging to form the most vibrant rose

before it quickly turns to sand

Life's too short to take for granted

Don't waste it living in the past

Every moment should be cherished

For it may be your last

Each tear of joy or agony

is yours alone to live

in life love beyond all reason

and give all that you can give

The journey may seem hard at times

with every winding road

but  these moments are meant to be savored

This life is yours alone

Life is too short to hold grudges

love well and learn to forgive

Dont waste your time sitting on the sidelines

The only real sin is a life unlived
