Poison

Poison

A Poem by Celine Blanche
"

Sometimes, the society is the most vicious kind of poison one can find.

"
.....
I once knew a girl
Who found a bottle of poison.
She drank it whole not knowing what it'd hold,
Her fleeting happiness no more.
I watched as she shrank
Into a mass of mere oblivion,
As she danced to the sound of her breaking heart
And sang the cries of her soul.

I once knew a girl
What an imbecile was she!
Not knowing she was a mere plaything,
A hamster on a wheel.

I once knew a girl
Who now lay in bed of blood
And she gazed at me as she gazed at her.
Her image dimmed,
I couldn't see her anymore
So I stole one last glance
At the bottle beside me,
The one with poison,
With a label that read 'people'.
