Sola

Sola

A Poem by Celestia

What I've learned from this new life is

To be afraid of the dark

You do not know what lurks there

Shadows and Nightmares

In the sunlight

You can see clearly

Protected from terrors of the past

Hanging on with blackened claws

To your infinite mindscape

You must think clearly

What are you going to do

Run, my child

Run and be free

For you won't be free for long

I have seen the places where the Sun doesn't shine

Smashed a crystal on the rocks of a mountain

Put the world into endless Night

Sleep eternal

Yet love Immortal

I am the light

I am the day

I am the girl who killed the world

I am the sister of the Night.
