Harmony

A Chapter by Celestia
"

The girl with the scar is the dead revived. Fear the love.

"What sort of bad things?" asked Jac.
Luna touched her hairclip. "Your powers grow out of hand. The more you fear, the worse they get." She sighed. "It happened to Aura."
"Where's Aura?" asked Theo.
"She went insane. She's slowly dying in the dungeons. Well, almost dying. We can't die."
"What happened?" said Theo.
"Her powers to make things grow spiraled out of control. She killed villagers... trees... animals." Luna bit her lip. "And when we asked her what was going on, she began laughing. She hasn't stopped for ten years."
Theo fell silent.
And then, there was a blinding white light.
"What's going on here?" said a soft voice. "Are you Theo? And Jac?"
They turned around, and a person was standing there. Their shiny black hair scruffily hung in front of their eyes. They wore a simple white shirt with long brown pants, and bare feet. At first glance, you couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl.
"I'm Harmony," they said.
Luna smiled. "This is Harmony, the person I was telling you about earlier."
Harmony waved.
"How did you know my name?" Jac asked.
"I know everything," said Harmony, laughing. "I know the ends of all our legacies."
Myth rolled her eyes. "You say that, but you never tell us what happens.'
Harmony sighed. "It's a secret. If you know, your fates would create a paradox. we don't want that." they shrugged. "So what's going on here anyway?"
Luna pointed at Theo and Jac. "Newbies."
"I know that," said Harmony.
"Are you okay-" started Theo.
"Okay with your Element? Hell yeah." said Harmony.
"Harmony!" said Myth. "She's a little kid!"
"It's time to grow up," said Harmony.
Jac smiled.
"Anyway," said Harmony, "Dinner's about ready. Why don't you guys come inside? It's getting chilly out here."

When they got inside, they took a right, went up the stairs, went down a hall, took the fifth door on the left, and entered a large hall, with a table in the middle surrounded by chairs with pictures on the back. Four were occupied.
"Find a chair that speaks to you," said Harmony.
Theo walked up to the table. There was a chair that had a purple swirl on it. Impulsively, he pulled it out and sat down.
"Like that one, do you?" Luna laughed. She sat down next to him. "I always wondered who that chair would belong to." She sat in the chair next to him, one with a misty moon on it.
"Um, yeah." Theo blushed.
"I can tell you like me, Theo. It's okay." Luna said.
"You can tell?" said Theo, shocked.
"Yes," Luna smiled. "I've learned how to read emotions. Just know that I can never love you back."
"Why?" asked Theo.
"I have my... duties. Unless you touch me in ways nobody can, I'll simply respect you. Just never love. I'm not shallow, you know." she laughed quietly.
Theo sighed. "So there's no love here, is there?"
"Well, you wouldn't say that." Luna bit her lip. "It's just that I've been fifteen for a long time. I don't really care about things, unless you count Harmony and Sola."
"Is Harmony your boyfriend?" Theo said. "Is that why you don't... like me back?"
Luna snorted. "No! Harmony's not a boy. It's a girl, you moron. It just doesn't like being applied to a specific gender. And I never said I didn't like you."
Theo blushed harder, making his newly pale skin turn bright red.
"Oh, stop that," said Luna. "It's so adorable."
Harmony made a coughing noise. "For anyone who is interested, dinner's ready." It held up a plate, whispered some words, and threw the plate at the table.
Theo winced, ready to be hit by shards of glass, but Luna touched his shoulder.
"Open your eyes, moron,"
He blinked. Plates, filled with steaming food, had appeared before them.
"Can I have some?" he asked.
Luna giggled. "Of course! This is your house now."
He pulled some chicken onto his plate.
Luna watched him. "It's not poison, you know."
Theo looked at her. He saw her as an equal during that moment. Her eyes were blue pools of sapphires, no longer dark and cold, hiding secrets of a tarnished past.
Impulsively, he leaned forward and touched her lightly on the nose.
"Please don't do that to my friend," said Harmony, who was watching them intently.
Luna looked at him. "Why did you... do that?"
Theo looked at his chicken.
"It's okay if you like me, Theo. Understand that." she said softly. "I've never been in a romance before, and I don't want to be in one. It's a dramatic life here already."
Theo nodded, and took a bite of his chicken.
