"Is that bad?" said Theo, biting his lip.
"No..." said Electra, scratching her neck. "But if it's true, your powers killed Luna's mother."
Luna winced. "Not exactly. I'm not sure."
"The science of it is, you unknowingly murdered my friend." Electra said. "But, I forgive you."
"That wasn't nice, girl," said Myth. "Be nicer to the newbies."
"Sorry. Just speaking my mind." said Electra.
Theo looked at the ground. "I-I'm sorry, Luna."
Luna shrugged. "You don't have to be. It's not your fault. I don't blame you." She squeezed his shoulder.
Theo blushed. "Thanks, Luna."
Jac looked at Myth. "Is... my power bad too?"
Myth laughed. "No! You have a normal one. Say, do you have an Amulet?"
"What's that?" said Jac.
"An Amulet gives you your Element. Sometimes it's given to you, but mostly it appears. Check." Myth told her.
Jac looked at herself, and noticed a thin silver band around her ankle. She pointed. "Is that it?"
"Touch it," said Myth.
She did, and as soon as her finger met the metal, there was a spark of snow. She gasped. "Whoa..."
"See?" Myth said. "That's an Amulet for you. Don't ever take it off."
"Do I have one?" asked Theo.
"Yes," said Luna. "I saw it. It's on your arm."
He looked at his arm. Curled around his wrist was a dark metal serpent, biting its tail. "What happens if I take it off?" he asked.
"Bad things," said Luna.
