Two Ways to Be

There is life and there is existing

And it’s not easy to live.

It’s easy to exist because existing isn’t insisting

It’s hard to live because it involves living and loving beyond yourself.

It’s easy to exist because a word means nothing.

It’s hard to live because a word can mean anything and everything.

It’s easy to exist because you can fake it

It’s hard to live because you have to be real.

It’s easy to exist because you don’t live

It’s hard to live because you have to exist as well.

It’s easy to exist because nobody will care

It’s hard to live because you’ll care too much

It’s easy to exist because feeling means nothing

It’s hard to live because feeling is all you can do after a certain point

It’s easy to exist because then you’re just existing

It’s hard to live because you have to be truly living

It’s hard to exist because you don’t die.

It’s easy to live because when you die, you can say that you truly lived.
